Yoga Legacy is happy to announce new dates for the Yoga Legacy Teacher Training Program in 2015
This training is for those wishing to deepen their own practice or become Yoga Instructors themselves. The program is designed to make it easy to fit into your schedule. Training is held on weekends. Module 1, Yoga Basics, is the first weekend of training and required before moving on to other Modules - which can be taken in any order, to fit into your schedule. Most programs do not offer this flexibility. We also provide all necessary manuals for the Core RYT200 Program - there is nothing you are required to buy for the Core Modules. Again, unlike other programs which require you purchase books raising the price of the actual program.
We have added a full Yoga Alliance approved Prenatal Training as well for those wishing to gain this specialty certification - for those new to training or for those who are already RYT200. We are also offering a Detox Yoga/Hot Yoga Training that can be part of the RYT200 Program, as well as Water Yoga and Chair Yoga.
April 11-12 – Module 3
May 2-3 – Module 4
June 13-14 - Module 5
July 11-12 – Module 6
July 31- Aug 2 – Detox Elective
August 29-30 - Module 7
September 11-13 – Hot Elective
October 2-4 – Senior Elective
November 7-8 – Module 8
* When attending any 200+ Hour Yoga Teacher Training make sure the school is registered with Yoga Alliance as an RYS200. Recently Yoga Alliance sent out an email regarding this issue. Below is a sentence from the email as well as a link, so you will know the importance of making sure of the schools (and instructors) credentials. A lot of instructors and schools are not registered and, therefore, the training may not be comprehensive enough to qualify them. To find out if a school or instructor is registered, visit Yoga Alliance Find a Teacher page or Yoga Alliance Find a School page. Make sure you have the proper spelling, and remember some instructors may be registered under their maiden names (as we are).
In July 2011, Yoga Alliance announced that we would no longer accept applications from graduates of non-registered schools, and that the change would take effect on August 31, 2011. The decision was posted on the YA+ Community home page as well as our Facebook page.
